The Wizards were back at practice on Wednesday and spent a good part of the morning watching film from Tuesday night's game. Randy Wittman indicated that the last game heading into the All-Star break and the first one back are always circled as teams sometimes have a tendency to let their guard down. The Wizards did not play the style of basketball that we have grown accustomed to over the last month as they seemed out of sync for much of the night and lacked offensive execution. Wittman was pleased with today's practice and with another good practice on Thursday they should come out ready for the Nuggets on Friday night.

The elephant in the room remains to be the trade deadline which lingers for one more day. After 3pm on Thursday, the team will be locked in for the remainder of the year, but until then anything can happen as far as roster movement. Wittman said that he can't wait for the deadline to pass so that element will be eliminated:

While every player handles the deadline differently, veteran center Emeka Okafor said he hasn't thought about it for a second and won't let it have any effect on his game:

Kevin Seraphin also addressed the upcoming deadline along with how he continues to work to improve his game:

The Wizards will return to practice on Thursday as they prepare for Friday's big matchup against the Denver Nuggets.
