After a tough loss on Wednesday night to the Pistons, the Wizards were back at practice on Thursday. Nene was held out of practice, but according to head coach Randy Wittman, he was feeling better and is listed as day-to-day.

Randy Wittman spoke with the media afterwards and spoke about the difficulties of playing without Nene. He said that the team certainly missed his basketball IQ. Nene is one of those players that doesn't necessarily need to fill up the stat sheet for his presence to be felt. His +89 is more than double any other player on the Wizards' roster, which is a clear indication that the team performs better when he is on the court. His absence was certainly felt on both ends of the court on Wednesday night and hopefully the Wizards will get him back for a tough New York Knicks team coming in on Friday.

Wittman also talked about the guys not dwelling on this one loss and about John Wall's recent struggles:

Chris Singleton also spoke with the media and discussed how guys need to stick with it through the tough times:

The Wizards are back in action on Friday night as they host the New York Knicks. The game is already sold out and there should be an electric crowd at Verizon Center!
