The Wizards and Cavs went back and forth for much of the night, but thanks to some stifling defense down the stretch, the Wiz held the Cavs to just 11 fourth quarter points and were able to come out with a 96-83 victory on Sunday night in Cleveland.

John Wall led the team with 21 points and nine assists, including two 3-pointers in the final 30 seconds of the first half, one of which beat the halftime buzzer.

Bradley Beal added 17 points, Trevor Ariza had 15 points and nine boards, while Marcin Gortat tallied another double-double, with 13 points and 13 boards.

The game was a classic "game of runs", as each team traded blows throughout, but it was the Wizards that were able to end each quarter on a run of their own, most importantly the final frame which led them to their 28th win of the season.

The Wizards had 26 assists and just five turnovers in the game.

Nene left the game in the third quarter with a left knee sprain and did not return. He is scheduled to get an MRI on Monday.

The win put the Wizards back at .500 at 28-28, and evened the season series with Cleveland at 2-2, with the road team winning all four games.

The Wizards will now return home to host the Orlando Magic on Tuesday night at Verizon Center at 7pm.
