Although the reports were out there for some time, on Wednesday it was made official that both John Wall and Bradley Beal will be in Vegas at the end of July for USA Basketball Men's National Team Mini-Camp.  This is a great opportunity for the Wizards backcourt mates to play with some of the other elite young talent in the league and to show off their skills for the USA coaches which could eventually lead to them being on the team for international play.

The international game is different than the NBA and the players need to get adjusted to a different style of play, which makes these mini-camps very valuable to the young breed of talent.

While many of the players selected for the camp may not be on the USA team next summer, some could crack the squad for the 2016 Olympics and these platforms provide a good space for them to start playing with one another.

The camp will also be conducted just as Vegas Summer League concludes, so chances are both Beal and Wall could be in Vegas a little early with their young teammates.  Last season, Beal participated in the Summer League and he has expressed some interest in doing so again.  His injured leg could hold him out, but that is something to be monitored over the next month.  Wall was in Vegas last summer to workout and was a spectator at select Wizards Summer League games. Vegas Summer League will run from July 12-22.

Wall and Beal on Being Selected:

"I am honored to be selected to the 2013 USA Basketball Men's National Team mini-camp," said Beal. "I am excited to compete with and against the other young talent around the league and continue to represent my country in the future."

"It is a privilege to return to USA Basketball as a participant in the 2013 Men's National Team mini-camp," said Wall. "I have gained great experience and grown from my previous stints with USA Basketball and hope to continue in the program moving forward."
