Wizards Report January 9
Posted on January 09, 2013After five games in seven days the NBA schedule makers have given the Washington Wizards the gift of time. With their next game not until Saturday at home against Atlanta, the Wizards can use that time to get healthy.
Nene missed Monday's win over Oklahoma City with right knee tendinitis and Jordan Crawford was on the sideline with a sore left ankle. Indeed it is worth noting the Wizards, without their top two scorers, beat the Thunder. Cartier Martin was also out with a hyper extended knee and could miss more time.
The Wizards did welcome A.J. Price and Trevor Ariza back from extended absences because of injury. Ariza had not played in 17 games since the Wizards win over the Heat because of a strained calf muscle. Price had missed the last 15 games with a fractured right hand.

It is also encouraging that John Wall and Trevor Booker are inching closer to game action after recovering from knee injuries.
Team Owner Ted Leonsis:
"We now have a few days off in a scheduling rarity. We play next on Saturday night at home and it is possible but not quite certain, for the first time all season, that we could dress all of our players. I don’t want to jinx it, but we are all hoping that is what we will see. Stay tuned. Thank you."
Finally on this Wednesday, I hope you have time to enjoy our show All Access. It is show that covers that entire Monumental Sports and Entertainment family and airs every Saturday at 6:00 PM on 1500 AM
