Washington Wizards' players and coaches might need to buy online to finish their holiday shopping. The final week before Christmas is another busy one for the Wizards with four games in five nights starting Tuesday against Atlanta at home.
Last week the Wizards navigated through a stretch of four games in five nights that ended with Saturday's 102-72 loss to the Miami Heat. Against a rested Heat team eager to avenge an earlier loss to the Wizards, a competitive game never materialized.
The Wizards were competitive in the week's other three games including their first road win of the year in New Orleans. In Houston the Wizards had a realistic chance to win, but stumbled in the fourth quarter. At home against the Lakers, the Wizards paid the price for only scoring 14 points in the third quarter.
Of note from this past weekend, Cartier Martin continued to show signs of a recovered shooting stroke and Jan Vesely received some much needed playing time.
