Game Notes

What: Wizards vs. Knicks When: 7pm Where: Verizon Center - Washington D.C. The Wizards will play their lone home preseason game tonight when they host the New York Knicks at Verizon Center. After losing to the Bobcats on Sunday, the Wizards have spent this week of practice continuing to work on their transition defense and trying to limit their fouls. The team is looking forward to getting a chance to see if they can make strides in the right direction against the Knicks on Thursday. Injury Update: Trevor Booker has been held out of practice due to a hamstring injury, but he says that he expects to be back on the floor in a few days. WATCH INTERVIEW Jannero Pargo and Emeka Okafor are both back after sitting out Sunday's game and should be in the lineup on tonight vs. New York. John Wall (knee) and Nene (foot) will both miss the game for the Wizards as they continue to rehab their injuries.

Head Coach Randy Wittman said he's looking forward to seeing how the team has made adjustments since their last game vs. Charlotte and is excited about seeing Okafor and Pargo in the lineup. WATCH INTERVIEW The point guard competition will be something to watch for the Wizards as A.J. Price, Jannero Pargo, and Shelvin Mack all compete for minutes with Wall out of the lineup. Mack recorded 7 assists and 0 turnovers in the preseason game on Sunday while starter A.J. Price put in nine points. This will also be the Verizon Center debut for rookie Bradley Beal. He looked impressive in his debut on Sunday, scoring a team-high 18 points in the effort. He talked about playing in his first home game after Wednesday's practice.
