Game Notes

What: Wizards vs. Bobcats When: 1pm Where: Time Warner Cable Arena - Charlotte, NC The Wizards will open up their preseason schedule on Sunday afternoon when they take on the Charlotte Bobcats at Time Warner Cable Arena. After a full week of training camp, it will be a good chance for the team to get to play against someone other than themselves and test out some of the plays they have been practicing. Trevor Booker and Jannero Pargo sat out of practice on Saturday and their status for the game is unknown. John Wall (knee) and Nene (foot) will both miss the game for the Wizards as they continue to rehab their injuries. Head Coach Randy Wittman said he's not too concerned with the outcome on Sunday but is eager to see his team in a competitive environment. After just 5 days of camp, he did not want to change the teams' training camp schedule because of this game, so it is likely the Wizards will focus predominantly on their own sets and not worry too much about matchups with the Cats. Watch Full Wittman Interview It will be the first ever NBA game that Bradley Beal plays in, though it is preseason, but the rookie says that he has yet to feel nerves set in. He also talked about going up against the #2 pick in the draft, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist on Sunday in his post-practice interview on Saturday. Watch the full interview here. Beal raved about MKG and said he brings out the best in him because of his competitiveness. While it's hard to predict how much playing time everyone will get, a rookie like Beal should expect to see a nice chunk of minutes. With Wall and Pargo banged up, Beal has played a bit of point guard in camp, so it will be interesting to see if they use him their in the game on Sunday. The game will not be aired on television or radio, so make sure to follow @WashWizards on Twitter for updates from the game and highlights should be available after the game. Projected Starting Lineups Wizards: G-Price, G-Crawford, F-Ariza, F-Seraphin, C-Okafor Bobcats : G-Sessions, G- Henderson, F-Kidd-Gilchrist, F-Mullens, C-Haywood
