Day 4 Wrapup

Posted on October 06, 2012

Jeremy Hyman - WashingtonWizards.com checking in after four days of training camp. Day 4 was back to the two-a-day format with a morning and night session. The morning session was what Randy Wittman called a maintenance practice where the team ran through a lot of the playbook and walked through many of the sets. It was during the night session where the guys were let loose and the refs came back for more 5-on-5 scrimmaging. You can see the guys getting more comfortable playing with each other as camp progresses and the plays are becoming more and more polished. With Wall out of the lineup, A.J. Price has done a fine job running the point and has shown an ability to both knock down shots and create his own shot off the dribble. Kevin Seraphin continues to show why the Wizards wanted him back in 2010 as his touch around the rim has impressed the coaching staff. With Nene out of the lineup for the time being, Seraphin could take his spot in the starting lineup. You can watch a full length highlight tape from Day 4 here or take a look at some of the best photos from the night. The team will practice on Saturday morning and then take off for Charlotte later in the afternoon. We will check back in from Charlotte later on and get ready for the preseason opener on Sunday at 1pm vs the Bobcats. Jeremy
