Game Day PhiladelphiaPosted on January 14, 2013 by DJ-WizardsRadio
5:44 AM Dave Johnson checking in.....Made it out of snowy Chicago yesterday and let's hope some of the ice is gone from the offense. The Wizards are missing points and that is the point. Indeed we have discussed ball movement, but the Wizards are also missing good looks at the basket. As bad as the Wizards shot at 31 percent, they really only needed just one player to get going on offense and they probably would have beat the Bulls. Nick Young was 2 of 11 from the field. And John Wall is shooting only 33 percent from the field. About John Wall Flip Saunders said: “He is in a bad rhythm right now .We have to watch some film, talk to him, and try and get him to slow things down. What happens I think is that when you are out there and the team can’t score and the ball is in your hands, you get to a point where you think I have to make something happen. He gets himself in some bad ways.” Tonight’s game is the first of a home and home series with the 76ers. On Wednesday the 76ers played their third game in a three nights, and it showed in an 85-79 loss to the Knicks. The loss prevented the 76ers from reaching their first seven game winning streak in three years. The Wizards defensive effort has been a positive and it is something Saunders hopes the team will rally around until they can relax and get going on offense We invite you to join the Blog party tonight. 9:40 AM Dave Johnson checking in.... It was nice finish to the game, but...... I know the rest did not go so well. Of all teams the Wizards just can not afford to be careless against the 76ers. Last night the 76ers showed why they are the NBA's best in defense. The game was no longer really in
