Click Here to Listen Live 7:08 AM...Dave Johnson checking in and yes it is great to be back home...Again many   thanks for all the pre-season activity on the BLOG.   With a week of pre-season games in the books there is a lot to be excited about and yes there is still more to do.   In short maybe what we expected. John Wall is learning as he goes and   this is going to be fun to watch. Wall is one of the team captains along with Kirk Hinrich and it makes sense. Wall is a leader and not just because he has the ball. I thought last week he again displayed his maturity when he talked about trying to force things in the first half against the Cavaliers and then turned it around in the second   half. he is eager to improve and he already outs on a show. Glenn Consor and I have talked on the radio about how Gilbert Arenas truly looks back with his attack-minded drives   and he has been getting after it on defense especially when the Wizards have gone to a full court press. And Yi's off season work and experience with China in FIBA competition has paid off. In addition Trevor Booker and Kevin Seraphin have taken advantage of their time on the court.   And I could go on, because disappointment from the loss to the Bulls aside, it was a good week. I also think it is clear that this will be a better team on defense and Hinrich will do a lot to help set that tone...BLOGCAST...radio and live blogging together as you connect with us at Verizon Center starts tonight at 7:00 PM...on the radio we are on 106.7 FM THE FAN and there will be a listen live link at the top.
