What A Start

SportzWiz checking in...Like most of you I could not wait until last night to finally see these guys in action. After the long wait, the team did not disappoint. I'll start off with John Wall, what a performance. It's hard to imagine, as Phil Chenier pointed out on the broadcast last night, that this guy is just 2 years removed from playing HS ball. He's so explosive and dynamic with the basketball. He had nine assists and could have had multiple others where he set up guys for open shots that didn't fall. While the focus will be on Wall, he was one of several guys that had great games. Andray Blatche showed no rust from his off-season injury, as he scored 22 to lead everyone. JaVale McGee was a force down low blocking six shots and he also scored 13 points on just six shots from the field. Yi Jianlian grabbed 10 rebounds in just 22 minutes last night. Kirk Hinrich just does so many little things that lead to the team's success. He was a +27 in 28 minutes yesterday. Lastly, Gilbert Arenas had a very solid game. He picked his spots, shot the ball well from the field and did a great job playing off the ball yesterday. And how can I forget Lester Hudson? Tie game, last seconds and he steps up and hits the game-winner just like he did in Summer League.
