WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted on April 25, 2008Hey everyone, that's really all I can say one day after the most lopsided playoff victory in franchise history. Where to start, I guess i'll go with the crowd, there's no way you can understand the atmosphere unless you were there. Simply sensational!!! As I said yesterday if you can go on Sunday, I would do whatever I need to because if the crowd is anything like it was last night you'll be in for an electric atmosphere. Obviously the crowd was great but so were several players. Roger Mason first comes to mind the guy really sparked it all of the bench along with Dray who was a force on the defensive end. Gilbert starting also was huge to get the crowd into the game, CB3 was in typical "Tough Juice" form and what a defensive performance by the entire team. Of course props to DeShawn the guy played great on both ends as well as Brendan Haywood who has been great in this series, he's 14 of 18 from the field, and doing a great job down low as well. I'll be down at practice in about 20 and we'll get the latest update on Gil. If you have any questions please let me know, UPDATE: Just got back from practice here is the scoop on Gil. Arenas has a bone bruise in his left knee and a pinched nerve in the back of his knee. The team diagnosed both of these before the game, and by playing he can't reinjure himself further. however, the problem comes when he comes out of the game and his knee tightens up. That's why he only played about 10-15 minutes. He actually knew that going in and that's why he started because had he sat for 15 minutes he might not have been able to come into the game. He said right now there's nothing you can do about the bone bruise except play through the pain, with the nerve they can rub it and loosen it up so he's ok. He said had the team needed him he could've played through the pain in the second half but there was no need. He said he'll probably play a similar role on Sunday, and on the road he will probably play more because the team needs him more. So not great news but not horrible news at the same time. Other than that the players kept talking up the crowd and how this is turning into a fun rivalry between the cities, not only the players but the fans as well. DeShawn was asked what made him go with the Mohawk and he said he saw what Caron and Nick did and he decided he had to step it up as well. Caron said he came up with the idea when he couldn't sleep because he kept thinking about game 2. Quotes coming.
